Sagittal Plane

Purpose: 

Assess posterior chain mobility

Starting Position:

Mat in open space
Sit at the front of the mat with knees at the 1 inch mark on the midline

Cueing & Measurement:

Place hands overlapped on midline strip & slowly fold forward from the hips
Slowly slide hands along the midline strip, reaching as far forward as possible while maintaining a neutral spine
Do not round your back or shoulders and do not bounce
Hold for 10-20 seconds
Record position of fingertips on midline strip
